Kazakhstan Confirms Two Cases of Coronavirus
Kazakhstan confirms first cases of Covid-19. Health Minister Yelzhan Birtanov reported two Coronavirus cases. Two Kazakh citizens who arrived from Germany on March 9 and March 12 were tested positive and placed under quarantine in Almaty infectious diseases hospital. Other passengers, who took the same flights, have been isolated along with the crew members.
“We have been taking preventive measures against coronavirus for three months. All the necessary precautions have been taken to prevent the spread of the dangerous virus. Today I want to confirm two cases of COVID-19 among two Kazakh citizens, who arrived from Germany. They tested positive for coronavirus and were placed in a hospital in Almaty. Both of them don’t show any clinical symptoms, they feel well. All the necessary measures are being taken”, emphasized Kazakh Health Minister, Yelzhan Birtanov.
