Experts on Astana EXPO 2017

Last year’s main event was the international specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017, which promoted Kazakhstan in the world. The number of tourists wishing to visit Kazakhstan and its young capital has increased. The exhibition’s theme "Future Energy" promoted sustainable green energy solutions that prevent damage to the environment. According to member of South Korean National Assembly, Noh Woong Rae, Kazakhstan demonstrated great potential in this matter.

 - Despite the fact that Kazakhstan is rich in oil, gas and minerals, I think that this country has great prospects for promoting projects on renewable energy sources. Half of the republic’s territory is suitable for installation of solar panels, and an area of more than fifty thousand square meters can produce wind energy. The holding of EXPO led to the growth of construction, infrastructure and investment and became the driving force for the rapid development of Astana. Cooperation between the resource based Kazakhstan and technology based South Korea will lead to great synergy.

South Korean pavilion was one of the largest at Astana EXPO 2017 and one of the most visited. Over five hundred and sixty thousand people visited here. The South Korean pavilion received a bronze medal of the International Exhibitions Bureau "For the best design". Korean scientists, designers and students, who took an active part in organizing the work of Astana EXPO 2017, received gratitude from the Korean Government in Seoul, by the end of the year. At the awards ceremony, representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy noted that South Korea's participation in the specialized international exhibition was very successful.

 - If we compare Astana EXPO 2017 with Milan and Shanghai exhibitions, Kazakhstani visitors are very grateful. The well-coordinated work of the organizers made the Astana exhibition successful. Our company received an award for good performance. We are very proud that we  have received such an award from the government.
