Astana Opera presents series of ballet evenings

Spectacular performances, exciting gala concerts, unforgettable choreographed performances await the ballet lovers on stage of the main opera house in Kazakhstan again. Astana Opera presents a unique program of ballet evenings, which includes the most famous performances. This time the theater artists prepared excerpts from the ballets ‘Beethoven - Immortal - Love’, ‘Le Corsaire’, ‘Fantasy Ball’, ‘Paradise Lost’ and ‘Talisman’.

“The first part consists of different concert performances, including neoclassical and classical ones, and then a one-act ballet ‘How Long is Now’ choreographed by Raimondo Rebeck. This ballet was staged not so long ago. It is a very interesting ballet set to modern music,” shared Altynai Assylmuratova, Artistic Director of the Astana Opera Ballet Company.

For the time being, only a restricted number of spectators is allowed in the audience hall. However, those who could not get the tickets can watch the online broadcast of concerts and gala performances. The organizers promise many more pleasant surprises for aficionados of classic art by the end of the month.

“We have one more gala concert with a rich program on October 24. The ballet ‘Coppelia’ is scheduled for October 31. This ballet was staged just recently. Choreographed by Roland Petit, the ballet is very interesting and humorous. Then, once the stage director arrives, we will continue to prepare for the premiere and will dance a little bit more. I mean, we have a lot of plans. We do our best at every gala and each of our performances to be satisfied with ourselves and as a further motivation,” added Assylmuratova.
