National Museum of Kazakhstan invites to offline exhibition of decorative and applied arts
The National Museum of Kazakhstan invites to the exhibition of decorative and applied arts ‘Oner toresi’ (Art Judge). The exhibition, which takes place in an offline format, presents the works by masters of the second half of the 20th century, as well as contemporary artists. The exhibition features the items made of felt and wood, as well as installations, tapestries and jewelry. Visitors will also be able to get acquainted with famous names of contemporary masters such as Zeinelkhan Mukhametzhan, Batima Zaurbekova, Saule and Alibai Bapanov, Serzhan Bashirov, Eduard Kazaryan, Latif Kazbekov, Tleuzhan Batanov and many others.
“The idea of the exhibition is to popularize the traditional Kazakh decorative and applied arts enriched by centuries-old national experience of decorative and applied arts and world-class art, the classical techniques of which are actively mastered and contribute to the further development of the national school,” Kazakh National Museum’s press office said.
The exhibition features nearly 70 works of art. The items presented there reflect the cultural characteristics and everyday features of the Kazakh people and are a unique part of the national culture.
