People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan launches campaign dedicated to People’s Unity Day
The flash mob to perform the Abai’s songs on traditional music instruments dedicated to the People’s Unity Day in Kazakhstan was launched by the Secretariat of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan. The campaign is aimed at the popularization of the Abai’s creative legacy and is held as part of the celebration of his 175th birth anniversary.
The Uzbek ethno cultural center was the first to support the flash mob. Its representatives performed the Abai’s song ‘Kozimnin qarasy’ to the accompaniment of the Uzbek traditional instrument rubob.
“On the eve of the People’s Unity Day in Kazakhstan, we launched the popularization campaign of the traditional musical instruments of different ethnic groups. At the time of the state of emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic, we would like to convey through music the formative work of all of the ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan to strengthen the inter-ethnic harmony and peace in the country,” said Head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan Lyazzat Kussainova.
