Results of the First International Competition of Composers, New Music Generation, in Nur-Sultan have been announced. 41 participants have become laureates of the prestigious musical competition.
The contest has been conducted online. More than 200 music scores were presented by 115 composers aged between 15 and 35. The composers are from 24 different countries. Remarkable musicians from Kazakhstan and several foreign countries evaluated the mastership of symphonic, chamber and vocal performances of the participants.
The goal of the contest is to support creativity of young talented people as well as promote the classical and modern academic music.
“The fact that such a huge event is held in our country is a symbolic and culmination finale of the Youth Year in Kazakhstan including participants from America, Canada, Mexico, Chile as well as China, Japan, Malaysia, Iran, almost all European countries and many Commonwealth of Independent States. This result and scale of geography is unimaginable even for traditional multi-year European competitions. The level of music scores is worthy of the best stages in the world,” said Jury Chairperson of Contest Art Director, Rakhat-Bi Abdysagin.
