#Abai175 Challenge Continues
The number of participants of a challenge dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet and thinker, Abai Kunanbayev increases every day.
The challenge was supported in Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, Tatarstan and Russia, France and Japan as well as the USA.
Speaker of the legislative chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Nurdinjon Ismoilov read an excerpt of the work in Uzbek language.
He stressed the symbolism of the poetic marathon in the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan, which is a symbol of friendship, cultural and spiritual community of the Uzbek and Kazakh people.
The literature challenge was also supported at the Aisha Bibi Kazakh National Cultural Center in Semey.
At the renovated yurt near the House of Friendship, national dishes were prepared, songs were sung and poems of the great poet were recited. There were about 10 popular works of Abai.
“Today, we see that the whole world has joined together to read the poems and works of the great thinker. This shows that the work of Abai Kunanbayev is known to everyone,” said Speaker of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Oral Sharipbayev.
