ALTYNAI ASSYLMURATOVA, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, ASTANA OPERA BALLET COMPANY
- The European audience received us well. It is delightful that the tickets were sold out in advance. It was not easy for us, because we toured with two difficult performances, the Nutcracker and the Swan Lake. Despite the difficulties, the warm welcome encouraged us.
BAKHTIYAR ADAMZHAN, PRINCIPAL DANCER, ASTANA OPERA
- Kazakhstan is known not only for the dombyra and boxing. Ballet and opera are also contributing to Kazakhstan’s promotion. Kazakh artists performed at the largest stages of Europe, America and China. We are glorifying Kazakhstan and becoming more popular in the world.
Currently, the Astana Opera is preparing for the performance of another famous Tchaikovsky’s opera, the Eugene Onegin. It is scheduled on February 8th and 9th this year.
