Abai Opera House hosted concert “Aiman Mussakhajayeva presents…”
Abai Opera House hosted another concert in the series of performances by “Aiman Mussakhajayeva presents…” series. Famous German conductor Michail Jurowski was leading the concert. The program is dedicated to the 20th anniversaries of Astana and the Kazakh National Arts University.
AIMAN MUSSAKHAJAYEVA, PEOPLE’S ARTIST OF KAZAKHSTAN:
- We performed Prokofiev and Schubert’s beautiful music to touch the souls of the spectators. If the audience is interested, an absolute silence falls on the concert hall. This silence is special. It gets so quiet that it seems to me that the spectators disappeared. But they are sitting there listening very quietly.
The concert program is composed of the treasures of the world music of various styles and trends – Wagner’s overture to “The Master-Singers of Nuremberg” opera, Prokofiev’s “Violin Concerto No 1” and Schubert’s “Symphony No 9.”
MICHAIL JUROWSKI, GERMAN CONDUCTOR:
- The orchestra members have substantial and good prospects because the majority of the musicians are technically skilled as well as motivated people. That’s why the current task is to combine it all together.
The Kazakh National Arts University graduates will conduct a concert in Astana in May. In October, they will tour the U.S.A. and Austria with a special program.
