NATALYA SHEVCHENKO, RUSSIAN ARTIST:
- This exhibition contains sports-related works. Earlier, this collection was displayed in Luxembourg, in the Russian Cultural Center, later it was presented in the State Sports Museum. I sincerely called the exhibition “With Love to Astana” because Astana means a lot to me. Since my creative career began in Astana, all the exhibitions that I open in Russia and other countries I introduce to the audience in Astana.
Natalya Shevchenko’s exhibition is organized with the support of the Russian embassy in Kazakhstan. The Russian diplomats say that, such events are the testament of the strong cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia. This year, the cultural partnership is going to be even more eventful. To mark Astana’s 20th anniversary, Russian performers will visit Astana with a special festive program.
ALEXANDER MUSSIENKO, MINISTER COUNSELLOR, RUSSIAN EMBASSY IN KAZAKHSTAN:
- I am convinced that a lot of Russian performers will arrive here to mark Astana’s 20th anniversary in late June – early July. We are currently working on the exact number of participants of the event but it is clear that these performances will be enjoyed by Astana’s residents and the people of Kazakhstan, including us.
This year, spectators will have the opportunity to visit a great amount of exhibitions, installations, concerts, theater plays and ballet programs. People both in Kazakhstan and Russia will be able to enjoy the best performances and compositions.
