Two new halls have been opened in Kazakhstan’s National Museum
Two new halls have been opened in Kazakhstan’s National Museum. One of them is named Modernization of Public Consciousness and is devoted to the holy places of Kazakhstan. The hall features an interactive digital map of Kazakhstan’s places of worship. Visitors can see interactive historical exhibits with the map. The second hall named ‘Treasure of the Sakas’ presents the Saka culture. It features original golden jewelry of the tribes that lived on Kazakhstan’s territory in ancient times. Previously, only copies were exhibited. The museum is displaying fragments of armor, jewelry, clothing elements – almost 250new artifacts dating back to the 6th-2nd centuries BC. Some of them were found during the excavations of the Issyk burial mound.
