The 14th festival "Culture Days of Local Peoples" was held in Istanbul
The unique Kazakh culture and traditions are sparking interest abroad. Kazakhs living abroad are organizing numerous events in order to present Kazakhstan to the world community. The 14th festival "Culture Days of Local Peoples" was held in Istanbul. Artists from seven regions of Turkey took part in it. The festival visitors learnt about the Kazakh national traditions and cuisine. Everyone was offered to try traditional dishes and purchase unique handicrafts.
TAIRA KARA, FESTIVAL PARTICIPANTS:
- We are the local Kazakhs, and we also participate in the festival. We are happy to attend such events. You can see the tent provided to us by the administration of the district. We are serving food and tea here. We are honored to present Kazakh traditions and customs to the local public.
The annual kurultai of Kazakh students was held in South Korea. The ninth forum brought together 100 Kazakh people from across South Korea. Students organized a festive concert as part of the kurultai.

- I met a friend from Kazakhstan, received an invitation and came to such an event for the first time. I learnt about Kazakhstan, its location, area and population. I learnt about the culture of your multinational country, and now I want to visit Kazakhstan. Kazakhstani students are considered as friendly and cheerful people in our university.
AIKERIM DAURENBAYEVA, PRESIDENT, KAZAKH STUDENTS ASSOCIATION IN KOREA:
- There are more than a thousand Kazakh students studying in Korea, and this number is growing every year. I can say that all of our students study very well here and many professors are proud of them. There are even students who took part in competitions and won prizes.
