Uzbekistan Hosts Week of Innovative Ideas

Uzbekistan hosted series of events such as the International Innovation Fair, Investment and Innovation Forum as well as Youth Championship in Robotics. The INNOWEEK – 2019 gathered leading scientists from 30 countries including Austria, the United Kingdom, Italy, Israel, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan and the United States.

The event organizers said that one of the main goals of the Week of Innovative Ideas is to develop human capital as a key factor to the country’s competitiveness and innovative development in the international arena.

“Bank financed projects have been presented, using venture capital financing for the implementation of the commercialization projects on this commercialization platform. The funding is provided to ensure the creativity of innovative economy by using science. Currently, over 26 billion soms of products have been produced and about 20 billion worth of products have been sold. Today, more than 100 developments are commercialized,” said Head of Department of Uzbek Ministry of Innovative Development, Dzhamoliddin Babakhanov.

Projects that were presented provide an opportunity to attract investments. The organizers are confident that the unique platform in Central Asia will contribute to the conclusion of new contracts and to exchange experience.

“Our company supplies educational equipment. There are many changes being done in the education sector. Many schools started modernizing the equipment. The schools have started to install interactive panels, use robotics while the teachers are beginning to teach mechanical studies and artificial intelligence. It is understandable that this is the future. We take part in this exhibition for the first time. We have had a meeting with the Minister of Education,” said Spokesperson of Kazakh Company, Dias Bakasarin.
