Persimmon harvesting season started in Tajikistan

Persimmon harvesting season has started in Tajikistan. The organic fruit is popular both in the country and overseas. Tajikistan exports the fruit mainly to Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Each type of persimmon has its own taste, color and shape. The most popular persimmon type is Shohona, which is known as Royal. It ripens earlier than others.

Experts said that the tasty and healthy persimmon contains a huge amount of microelements that are vital for health. It is widely used not only in medicine, but also in cosmetology since it has beta-Carotene which promotes rejuvenation.

Director of Farm, Sharifbek Mirzoyev said that each of varieties has its benefits. Persimmon contains Vitamin C which helps to fight tiredness and depression. Vitamins also help to improve skin and hair quality. Persimmon has magnesium, which is good for heart. The fruit also includes potassium, iodine and iron.
