Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan are supporting Afghanistan’s inclusion in the regional economic projects, according to a report by CA-Portal news agency which quoted the Turkmenistan State News Agency. The countries have agreed to provide comprehensive support to the international community in terms of restoration of Afghanistan’s economy. Turkmen officials regularly call for the provision of large-scale and targeted international economic assistance to Afghanistan by involving the country in the implementation of large infrastructural projects in energy and transport. The construction projects include the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, power lines and fibre-optic communication lines along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan route, as well as railway lines connecting Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.


Turkmenistan can be involved in the construction of a railroad connecting China with Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Transport, the transport ministers will meet in Bishkek by the end of the year to discuss Turkmenistan’s possible participation in terms of direct investments or construction works.


The Guardian published the rankings of the most beautiful metro stations in Central Asia. The list includes Tashkent Metro Station. The prominent British print media presented an extended photo report covering every station. Dutch magazine ‘Diplomat Magazine’ published an article titled ‘10 Reasons to Visit Uzbekistan’. The article revealed the historical and cultural potential of the Central Asian country, including the vast capacities of ethnic, ecological, business and medical tourism. According to the publishers, travellers can visit the Chimgan and Nurata mountains as well as the Charvak reservoir. The authors also expressed their fascination with the handmade items made by local artisans. The crafts can be bought in any Uzbek city. The article also has information on the electronic visas that can be obtained in a short period of time.
