Review on Central Asia

An international conference on transport corridors in Central Asia will be held in Tashkent on September 20-21. The participants are expected to discuss the effective and mutually beneficial use of international transport corridors and the establishment of a single extensive integrated transport network in Central Asia. Another purpose of the event is further development of the dialogue with the international financial institutions and representatives of transport and logistics companies focused on developing existing and establishment of new transport corridors.


Turkmenistan will host the summit of International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, which will be attended by the Head of State of the countries surrounding the sea.

According to Turkmen Portal news agency, the event will be held on August 24 at the Avaza National Touristic Zone at the Caspian Sea. The International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea is an important regional organization aimed at improving the environmental and socioeconomic conditions of the Aral Sea area.


Tashkent hosted a joint Uzbek-Japanese business forum. The two parties discussed prospects of cooperation, including trade and investment projects in the fields of fuel and energy sector, green technologies and healthcare.


Kyrgyz businessmen are discussing the digital transformation of businesses. The entrepreneurs of the republic are calling for an acceleration of the processes, Khabar News service reported. According to the businessmen, it will improve the competitiveness of businesses and expand the sales markets. Specialists believe that the promotion of goods and services will be improved as a result of the implementation of innovative solutions in all economic sectors.
