Kazakh Government Declares Supportive Measures on Business
Kazakh government adopted a set of tax incentives for certain categories of the small and medium-sized businesses to support entrepreneurs. This was stated by Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov at an online briefing today. The set of measures includes temporary property tax exemption and suspension of interest on tax debt.
“We also propose nearly 70,000 entrepreneurs who work on the generally established mode to exempt from 10% individual income tax by the end of the year. All of the taken measures will provide support to those enterprises that were badly affected due to the infection outbreak”, Tugzhanov commented.
The government paid a special attention to the labor rights of the Kazakh citizens. Employers were instructed to minimize all social impacts of the declared state of emergency in the country.
“The main task we’re faced with in the current situation is not only to keep the jobs, but to create 431,000 new ones. In this regard, the government developed an employment roadmap worth 300 billion tenge. The program will provide employment and solve the most pressing infrastructure issues in the regions such as reconstruction and repair of social, housing and communal facilities”, Deputy Prime Minister Tugzhanov added.
