Kazakhstan Develops Measures to Support Oil Industry
The government is set to develop measures to support the country’s oil industry, Kazakh Deputy Minister of Energy, Asset Magauov said at press briefing Wednesday. The government members are discussing the possibility of tax preferences subsoil users.
According to the head of the Association of Oil Service Companies of Kazakhstan, Rashid Zhaksylykov, revenues to the country’s treasury from the oil and gas exports may shrink threefold. He added that in the last two years the exports of oil and petroleum products brought the national budget more than 1 trillion tenge (over $US2.24 billion).
