First President’s Fund to Donate 200 Million Tenge to Fight COVID-19
The First President’s Fund will donate 200 million tenge (over US$458,000) to fight against coronavirus, according to the official statement. These funds will be allocated between Mayors’ offices of Nur-Sultan and Almaty.
Healthcare experts who are actively fighting against the pandemic will receive financial aid in the form of pay bonuses. The funds will also be spent to procure medical masks and disinfectants, food supplies for orphanages and specialized hospitals in the Kazakh capital. The funds are allocated upon the direct instructions of Nursultan Nazarbayev.
