Export of Vegetable Oil Increased in North Kazakhstan region
The production of vegetable oil has seen an increase by 2.5 times in North Kazakhstan region.
In 2018, the region produced a little more than 13,000 tons of the products, and this year it is already over 32,000 tons.
The raw materials are supplied both from the local farmers and also from Akmola and Kostanai regions.
Linseed, sunflower and rapeseed oil are produced from the agriculture products and exported to China.
For example, the enterprise is able to process 365,000 tons of oilseeds per year.
“To date, the plant has exported 7,600 tons of rapeseed oil and 19,500 tons of oil cake. The enterprise is planning to expand production. Currently, five silo storage tanks with the capacity of 25,000 tons are under construction. The total foreign investments amounted to US$5.5 million,” said Deputy Head of Agriculture in North Kazakhstan Region, Talgat Nauryzbayev.
