Kazakhstan and China Strengthens Trade Partnership
Kazakhstan and China continue to actively strengthen their economic partnership, particularly in trade.
China is one of the most important trading partners of Kazakhstan and it is also the country’s biggest foreign investor.
Over the past five years, the trade value between both countries has reached a historical high of almost US$29 billion.
The free trade development between the countries was facilitated by the construction of the Khorgos Kazakh-Chinese International Center for Border Cooperation.
The center is created to allow the free moving of the Kazakh and Chinese citizens within the borders of the two countries as well as citizens of third states, which are officially being in host country.
The creation of the center has increased the activities of business meetings as well increased the number of exports between Kazakhstan, China and other CIS countries.
