Kazakhstan – France: strengthening of cooperation
French companies invested half a billion Euros in the Kazakh economy this year. France is one of Kazakhstan’s main economic partners. The two countries are set to continue developing cooperation in key sectors, such as agriculture, digital technologies and alternative energy. At a business meeting held in the French city of Rennes, Kazakh and French businessmen discussed the main aspects of cooperation development.

- After performing an analysis in Kazakhstan, we understood that we are interested in cooperating in the agricultural industry. The region of Bretagne is advanced in agriculture in terms of livestock breeding, genetics, logistics, as well as professional food production processes.
After the meetings, representatives of 10 major French companies have expressed their interest in doing business in Kazakhstan. They were impressed with the business environment in the country.

- At the meeting, French companies showed a willingness to invest in Kazakhstan. They are ready to share their latest technologies with their Kazakh partners and accompany us at all stages of cooperation. It is very important for our partnership. It is a new chapter for our strategic partnership and our task is to establish solid partnerships and strengthen cooperation.
The partners are set to establish collaboration on a regional level. The meeting participants decided to hold a business forum on agriculture and the latest agricultural technologies in Rennes, the capital of Bretagne next year. French businessmen are planning to visit Kazakhstan to establish closer cooperation with the Kazakh companies and start implementing joint projects.
