Kyrgyzstan: Development of export opportunities

Kyrgyzstan is boosting its exports to other countries, including members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Shipments to EAEU member countries have grown by 1.5 times since the Republic’s accession to the Union. Majority of the export goods is high-technology products. LED lamp manufacturers believe that their products are of best quality.


- Our products are in demand in the market. Sometimes, we hardly manage to meet the orders.

The preforms for plastic bottles are in high demand as well. The plant sells the bottles all over the region. The manufacturer produces half a billion preforms plastic bottles per year after the launch of its new production line.


- Our capacity has increased by almost 50 per cent. We export our goods to Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and we also cover Kyrgyzstan’s needs. We plan to work with Uzbekistan.

Kyrgyzstan also exports laundry detergents, shampoos and soap to EAEU. In total, 500 tonnes of finished products are exported monthly.

Fresh as well as canned fruits and vegetables from Kyrgyzstan are very popular in the EAEU countries. New flavors of juice, jams, preserves and seasonings, produced in one of the factories in Osh have been in demand among Russian consumers. Israeli, German and Mongolian entrepreneurs have expressed their interest in organic agricultural products.


- We have been shipping local products to Russia for 7 to 8 years. The products are in demand there. The next shipments are due in autumn. Our warehouses titled ‘Products from Kyrgyzstan’ are popular among Russian consumers.

Production level has grown several times with Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the EAEU. The exports total more than 60 tonnes of products per season. The manufacturers ensure the products are of high quality.


Local products greatly differ from the goods of the Russian producers, such as in Krasnodar region or Kabardino-Balkaria. Our products are better, because there is more sun and water is better. We strictly control the quality and follow the state standards.

A meat processing plant in Osh will produce preserves and sausages for export. The facility will increase its capacity to 50 tonnes of meat products a day and it will also develop a logistics center. The storage conditions meet modern standards. The warehouse is designed to store 5,000 tonnes of agricultural products.
