Kazakhstan is boosting its export volumes

Kazakhstan shipped goods worth almost US$14 billion to foreign markets in the first quarter of 2018. The volume increased by 27 per cent this year compared to the same period a year before. Based on statistics, almost 60% of Kazakhstan’s exported goods are shipped to Europe. The country’s top five importing countries are Italy, the Netherlands, France. as well as the Eurasian Economic Union partner - Russia, and neighboring China. Shipments to the Netherlands grew almost 44% in a year, reaching US$1.5 billion, exports to Italy and France grew by 30%, with US$3 billion and US$1.1 billion, respectively.

Local mineral products are in high demand in the international market. In three months, Kazakhstan exported US$10 billion worth of mineral products. Oil remains as Kazakhstan’s main export commodity, as the country shipped 16.5 million tonnes of oil worth over US$8 billion. Copper and ferroalloys are also in the top three list of demanded products.
