The Kyzylorda region is strengthening trade and economic ties with Tatarstan

Kazakhstan’s regions are actively building a mutually beneficial partnership with foreign countries. The Kyzylorda region is strengthening trade and economic ties with Tatarstan. Prospects for cooperation were identified as part of a working visit of the Aral Sea area’s delegation to Tatarstan. The delegation visited a number of innovative facilities in Kazan, including the IT Park and Innopolis, the city of high technologies. As part of the working visit, the parties signed a number of agreements in information technology, health care and agriculture.

- There are a lot of directions where we have the potential to cooperate. Tatarstan has a very powerful industry, agriculture and a lot of achievements that we would like to adopt. Our colleagues are developing the joint ‘Roadmap for Cooperation’, where projects will be specifically identified.

- The Kyzylorda region has a potential since the region is one of the richest regions of Kazakhstan with the entire Mendeleev periodic table. The actively developing region attracts investors. Of course, Tatarstan is very interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan’s regions. Today Kazakhstan is one of the largest trade and economic partners of our republic.

The Mangystau region is strengthening investment cooperation with Great Britain and China. The region is partnering with foreign businessmen to implement the ‘Eco-city of Aktau’ project. As part of the project, it is planned to build affordable housings, trade houses, schools and kindergartens, medical centers, a theme park and a sports stadium on the area of 865 hectares in the northern part by using modern green technologies. The project is worth US$2 billion 100 million.

 - If it works, I think the region will get a very large potential. First, it is a huge investment which will give a tremendous impetus to development of the entire construction sector of our region.
