Kazakhstan’s agricultural potential presented in Poland

Kazakhstan took part in a largest international agricultural exhibition in Poland for the first time. This year more than 400 companies from 20 different countries took part in the food fair. The 70, 000 square meters exposition showcased the most diverse products from varieties of apples, cheese and honey to technologies and innovative developments. Kazakhstan presented its agrarian potential and export opportunities at the agricultural exhibition. As part of the event, the domestic delegation held bilateral talks with the Polish partners. Participants highlighted an interest of European businessmen and investors in cooperation.

- Representatives of the Kostanai region, the South Kazakhstan region, representatives from Almaty and Astana arrived to the exhibition. We also promote our grain products, which can be exported to Poland and other EU countries. This is of great interest and the only point is development of logistics. Our partners are interested not only in purchasing Polish apples, but also in getting technology to process these apples. I think this is a very good stage, when we can say that we are moving to a next stage and we will produce goods with high added value.

Krzysztof Jurgiel, Minister of Agriculture of Poland visited the Kazakh pavilion. He highly appreciated the level of bilateral relations and noted the importance of cooperation in agriculture. The agriculture is a driver of the Polish economy. According to a politician, Poland is ready to share its best practices with Kazakhstan.

 - Kazakhstan and Poland have signed agreements. I see great prospects. Poland is interested in cooperation and exchange of experience. We are open to cooperate in all areas, particularly, agro technologies, animal husbandry, genetics and innovations.

Domestic businessmen displayed the shubat, the kurt, tea and chocolate. The polish visitors tried the products and liked them very much. Visitors could try the Kazakh dishes during the exposition. Many visitors admit that they discovered the Kazakh cuisine right at the exhibition for the first time.

 - Fantastic! Mantys are very tasteful! I strongly advise everyone to try the Kazakh cuisine. It is completely different from Polish and very original. I’m impressed by your hospitality, which is well known in Poland.

- I decided to try something new. You have a very interesting cuisine. Dishes look unusual! Delicious! I like your pavilion.

The largest agricultural exhibition lasted for 3 days and 100,000 people visited it. The organizers promise that the exhibition will be even larger in 2018. This is an excellent opportunity for Kazakhstan to open new markets and find new partners.
