The hero of our issue Meyirim Nursultanov had a very bright career in amateur boxing. At the age of 16, he won the Kazakhstan Championship among youth, a year later he won the Asian Championship among his peers. At the age of 19, he already won the bronze award at the Kazakhstan Championship among adults; two years later he became the absolute champion of the country in his weight. Now Meyirim is 27 years old and for the last 4 years, he has been competing as a professional and training in the USA.
