Museum of folk musical instruments named after Ykhlas. This is a unique institution throughout Central Asia. After all, this is not just a large-scale exhibition. For almost forty years, the museum has also been a research center where they study musical artifacts, restore and recreate ancient instruments.
The museum was organized in 1980 in accordance with the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR. Initially, a collection of almost five hundred exhibits was located in a historic two-story building, the former home of aksakal Seydalin.
