Two geniuses, Abay and Pushkin. Related by inspiration

In the second half of the 19th century, Pushkin’s works were read by schoolchildren in the «Educational Book of Russian Literature». The most popular were «Song of the Prophetic Oleg» and «Demons». So during student days of Abay, Pushkin was already a classic. However it is unknown exactly what the young poet used to read. Maybe his biographer could tell more about it?
