Knowledge Day

The Knowledge Day was included in the list of professional and other holidays in 1998, by the decree of the first president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. It became one of the 35 dates established “in order to educate patriotism, professional pride, as well as universal human solidarity to the Kazakhstan people” – based on the text of the decree. For many Kazakhstan citizens, this is the beginning of a new stage in life. For schoolchildren, classes begin, for teachers, another year of hard work.
