Temirbek Zhurgenov

‘Every teacher is obliged to teach literacy to at least 35 people!’ This is the slogan with which Zhurgenov opened six-month primary education courses throughout the country. In 1934, a cultural and educational revolution began in Kazakhstan, hundreds of thousands of textbooks were published and distributed to people! The number of students exceeded one million people. The People's Commissar had a lot of work. In three years 18 schools were built.

Culture and art took a special place in the life and work of Zhurgenov. He supported the talented youth of the country, did everything to provide creative people with everything they needed. The opening of the theaters in each region of Kazakhstan is also a merit of Zhurgenov.
